Temperature Monitoring
Temperature monitoring is the periodic or real-time use of measuring instruments in order to ensure temperature limits are not exceeded and safety requirements are complied with.
Monitoring temperatures is crucial during every stage of production processes for cosmetics, food products and pharmaceuticals, as primary examples.
Temperature monitoring can take place manually with hand-held measuring instruments and by checking installed thermometers, or automatically through digital temperature monitoring sensors which connect to your quality management system.
What is the purpose of temperature monitoring?
Temperature monitoring is part of a broader temperature control plan and should be part of a HACCP plan, which is necessary for ensuring that temperature limits are complied with.
This provides the data by which safety of products for consumption, e.g. food or pharmaceuticals, can be guaranteed and by which hazards can be identified and eliminated.
