HACCP Hygiene Code
A HACCP hygiene code states how you can monitor food safety and hygiene in compliance with the HACCP system.
For different industries and business categories, different rules may apply. For example, hospitals have different hygiene codes than restaurants do.
Within each hygiene code you will find the relevant processes, frequencies of data registration and examples of filled out registration forms. Taken together these form the minimum requirement for ensuring food safety and hygiene within your organisation.
What is a HACCP certificate?
A HACCP certificate is required in order to be part of a HACCP team which upholds the HACCP hygiene code within an organisation.
This means that you’re required to have paid for and successfully completed an official HACCP training course. The difficulty, duration and pricing of this course is highly dependant on your country’s regulatory requirements.
